Elk Grove Handcraft Brewing and McConnell Estates Winery

Did you know Elk Grove has a local brewery, brewing and winemaking supplier, and an award winning winery?

A couple of months ago I was heading home from another day of work and I was curious about a green sign which kept catching my eye about 200 yds off highway 99. I was heading northbound on 99 and took the Grant Line Rd exit.

Handcraft Brewing was open and waiting for me to walk in that day. Located at 9183 Survey Rd. #104, Elk Grove, CA 95624 . The two gentleman working that day were very nice and took the time to explain the business. I was very surprised to find a shop in Elk Grove that supplied brewing supplies and the actual materials such as hops, wheat, barley, and kits to make your own home brew.

If you are a fan of a nice brew, they even have a license to serve their own Handcraft Brews. You can find more information about them here — http://www.handcraftbrewing.com/index.html

If wine is more your fancy, right on the other side of 99, Elk Grove is home to the award winning McConnell Winery. McConnell Estates is a beautiful vineyard with a great tasting room. They are located at 10686 West Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, CA 95757 .

They offer very nice white and red wines. I am a huge fan of their Tempranillo varietals. If you want a very interesting red, try the 6 Gen Zin. They have more wines listed at http://www.mcssl.com/store/mcconnellestates/wines

In December, my family used the McConnell Estates as our back drop to our family photos. Patrick Twomey, http://www.2mefotos.com, did an excellent job framing the beautiful features of this property.

Visit both of these places in Elk Grove, they are local and offer a nice find in our beautiful town.

New Classes for Real Estate Buyers and Sellers

If you are like me, you might be asking yourself, is it really 2013?!?!

Where did the time go?

Did you achieve your personal goals in 2012?

Did you achieve your financial goals?

If the answer is yes, kudos to you and I know you have 2013 already mapped out with a plan.

If you answered no, well the good news is, the Mayan calendar may have ended but we are still here. We are here to accomplish our goals from 2012 and add to them for 2013. This is the year to make it happen.

Last year I tried out a few week night classes that were aimed towards educating the public on real estate topics. This year I will increase the classes and add a Goal Setting group into the mix. Each group will meet once per month. One group will be focused on real estate topics and current trends. The other group will be for those interested in goal setting. It will have a financial backbone to it, but all are welcome to attend. I am also going to send my newsletters out on a regular basis.

Each newsletter will have a current real estate market trend topic, local Sacramento business to highlight, Q&A, updates with Real Estate With Jason, and group meeting times and topics. In addition, I will be reaching out to you to keep you informed of developing projects or real estate opportunities.

Over the past few months, I have been solidifying relationships with local builders and investors. Some of you have been writing countless offers, only to have them passed over. Some of you were looking for investment properties to flip or retain for rent, only to find out the inventory is running extremely low at this time. I am building relationships with builders in order to give my clients another avenue to enter the real estate market. My clients will be able to purchase new homes for personal use, rental income, or even participate on the ground floor of these development projects.

I am very excited for these new opportunities in 2013 and I look forward to sharing them with you.

Please share your thoughts so I can better provide you with the newsletter content that you want. You can post your

Happy Halloween

In only a few days, our streets will be flooded with children, adults, and teens looking to fill their candy bags with extra fall goodies.  Take an extra moment on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 to slow down and watch for those that chose to participate in the door to door activities we call ‘Trick or Treating’.

If you prefer not to participate in the traditional Halloween festivities, here are a couple of ideas for you or your family.

I found these with a quick and easy google search for Halloween and Elk Grove.

There are plenty of ideas that you can do.
- Call a few friends over of a themed dinner party
- Have a group pumpkin carving.
- Dress up as a scarecrow sitting on your porch, and jump up every ten minutes.  (my favorite)

But always remember to be safe.  Here are a few links for Halloween Safety.

And remember, for all your real estate needs, please call me first.  Be Safe.
